Autumn
I started this drawing a long time ago, but was only inspired to finish it once the weather started to change here in Eastern, NC.

The Color Wheel
This painting was inspired by my son's love of mixing colors, just to see what he can make!

Flowing Flower
This design was inspired by the T-shirt of one of my former students.

Oh Tanenbaum

As a child, and still as an adult, I adore Christmas trees. The brighter and more colorful the better!  I love to turn off all of the other lights and just marvel at the sparkling beauty of the lights reflecting.

Heard It Through The Grapevine

Inspired by a highway sign for a winery that we see on the way home everyday.

  Wrapping Chaos
When I was a child, I always got so excited around Christmas when my mom would take out the many rolls of wrapping paper and ribbon, the tape and the scissors and lock herself in her bedroom.  I knew that good things were soon to come!  As an adult, I love the mess created by boxes, ribbon and colorful paper around the holidays.

This Little Light
"We cannot hold a torch to light another's path without brightening our own."
Ben Sweetland

Five Hands
Five hands, all intertwined and painted in different skin tones, represent the connections between all of us, regardless of race, gender, or any other category.

Ocean Waves
Inspired by the crystal-clear waters and the bright sun of South Florida beaches.

Palms

Also inspired by the tropical area where we used to live.

Remembrance and Awareness

Created in recognition of October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in honor and memory of all of those brave women I know who have faced this disease.

Sunrise

Each sunrise brings the hope and opportunities of a new day!

The Elements

The four elements-fire, water, air, earth.  They surround us each day and we often take them for granted.  We should work to protect all parts of our environment.

Tree of Life

Here Fishy Fishy

Have you ever been snorkling on a coral reef?  The rainbow of colors in this underwater world will take your breath away!  The coral reefs off of the coast of Florida are being threatened by rising ocean temperatures and pollution.
