This month's featured artwork:

A little Artic picture to help us survive these hot summer temperatures! When I was little I had a fuzzy, stuffed polar bear who went with me everywhere. I still have him, in fact, but now he snuggles at night with my 8 year old son. When I painted this mural in a church nursery, the baby bear very much reminded me
of my special childhood friend.
Below are a few penguin friends for our polar bears. They were painted in the same nursery room, on a convex wall that is the outside of a dome structure. The shape of the wall, which is hard to see in the picture, really adds to the feel of the igloo.
Bear Town Bears
Between 8/2009 and 6/2010 I had the wonderful opportunity to complete 3 bears for the Bear Town Bears public art project. These bears were sponsored by local businesses and organizations and placed all over New Bern, NC. They are helping to celebrate New Bern's 300th anniversary. I kept a blog during this experience and I hope you'll click on the link below to visit it and see more about the bears and the process of completing them.
This website is devoted primarily to my artwork and I hope you will enjoy visiting each of the galleries.
I also use this page as a place to provide links to my favorite Waldorf Education-related webpages, as well as provide information for the students I teach through the Military Academic Skills Program on board MCAS Cherry Point and through Continuing Education with Craven Community College-Havelock Campus.
